Presenting the Mess

Jesus, unlike other guests, is coming for the mess of our lives.

Our salvation does not depend on our goodness—only on God’s goodness.

When the things we take pride in are destroyed, it is then time to place our pride in God’s faithfulness.

There are more women than men in today’s gospel, and that is unusual. The culture in which Jesus lived was dominated by men.

God is waiting, waiting for us to see. The time that God gives us is a sign of the trust that God has in us.
