The Plow Keeps Moving

We must not look back at past mistakes or failures. Doing so will not only distract us, but possibly harm us.

If we can remember how patient God is with us, then maybe we can find the way to be patient with ourselves.

If love is the only road to God, it is only the humble who will walk upon it.

Light does not necessarily lead to faith. For all the brightness of the light, faith is never inevitable.

Peace is not a gift, but a project we can achieve together with God.

The parable of the Good Samaritan reminds us that life comes both as a surprise and a gift.

The gospel is about fruit and fire. The fruit comes from us. The fire comes from God.

Advent is about waiting, waiting for the good things which are to come. But not all waiting is the same.

The peace that Jesus offers us is a moveable peace which we can give and take back again without being broken.

If we wish to assist Jesus in building the kingdom of God, we cannot be afraid of fire.

If we are followers of Christ, we are called to be optimists.

Our faith might be the size of a mustard seed but we are not an isolated plant. We are a Church, a part of a community of believers.
