A Year of Grace

Our focus on New Year’s Day should not be on our resolutions but on God’s grace.

The good news of Christmas is that we always have more to be thankful for, than to complain about.

We must look beyond the walls that lock us in to find the goodness around us.

We all want to come to Jesus. But Jesus does not want a part of us. Jesus wants all of us.

Each day of our lives is both precious and passing. So stay awake.

God is able to work independently of our efforts and intentions.

Our belief in resurrection asserts the goodness and value of the material world.

Jesus calls us to embrace the small blessings that come to us when the world seems to be against us.

Our God blesses us so that we might be blessed again.

The sin of the rich man is not a lack of generosity, but a lack of awareness.

Today’s gospel calls us to It calls us to serve the master whose love will always endure.

Luke’s parable of the sheep asks us to assess what valuable people and things have we lost from our lives.
